Indian National Hospitalised in Pattaya After Late-Night Dispute Turns Violent

Pattaya, Thailand: An Indian national was hospitalised in the early hours of Friday after a heated dispute in Pattaya escalated into a violent confrontation, prompting local police to launch an investigation into the incident.

The man, identified as Raj Jasuja, reportedly became involved in an argument with a group of transgender women near a popular nightlife area of the city. According to preliminary information from local authorities, the disagreement stemmed from an alleged non-payment for services, which quickly spiralled into a physical altercation.

Witnesses at the scene said the situation intensified when Jasuja attempted to leave the area, leading to a scuffle during which he sustained multiple injuries. Emergency rescue personnel arrived shortly afterward and provided first aid before transferring him to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Medical officials confirmed that he suffered injuries to his head and face but remains in stable condition.

Videos of the incident, recorded by bystanders, have since circulated widely online, drawing public attention and concern over tourist safety in Pattaya’s entertainment districts. The footage shows a chaotic scene with several individuals involved, though authorities have cautioned against drawing conclusions until the investigation is complete.

Police officials stated that they are reviewing surveillance footage and social media videos to identify all parties involved. Statements will be recorded once the injured individual is medically fit, and appropriate legal action will follow based on the findings.

Local law enforcement has reiterated that violence will not be tolerated regardless of the circumstances and urged both residents and visitors to resolve disputes through legal channels. Officials also advised tourists to remain cautious, particularly in crowded nightlife areas where misunderstandings can escalate quickly.

The incident has renewed discussions around safety, awareness, and responsible conduct for foreign visitors in Thailand’s major tourist destinations.
