Laitonjam Rishikanta Singh of United Gym in Naoremthong has been declared the overall champion of the highly competitive 63rd Mr Manipur Bodybuilding Championship 2025, held at the Manipur University auditorium in Canchipur. The event showcased the finest physiques from across the state, with competitors vying for top honors in various weight categories. Muscle Factory from Kakching emerged as the dominant team champion, securing 36 points, while United Gym, Naoremthong, claimed first runners-up with 25 points, and DG Gym & Fitness Centre from Kakching earned second runners-up with 22 points. Maradona Kshetrimayum was honored as the Best Coach for his exemplary contribution to the athletes’ training and preparation.
The senior men’s division witnessed intense competition across weight classes. In the 55 kg category, Lunglikpou Kamel of City Gym, Lamphel, took the gold, followed by Anoubam Sushilkumar Sharma of Sangai Gym, Khagempalli, and Naorithem Khanudang of Royaal Gymnasium, Ukhrul. Laishram Neta Singh of United Gym, Naoremthong, secured first place in the 60 kg division, with Nandeibam Bikramjit Singh of Body Perfect Fitness Gym, Patsoi, and Iron Riju Singh of A3 Fitness, Khurai, following closely. The 65 kg title went to Mayan of Muscle Factory, Kakching, while S Ruslam of Hercules Gym, Yairipok, secured third place. In the 70 kg category, Jenchui Rongmei of Liangtuang Gym, Thangmeiband, claimed victory, ahead of Rajkumar Mangal Singh of Super Gym, Khurai, and Seram Myson Singh of Extreme Fitness, Mantripukhri. Wahengbam Kiran Singh of MPSC triumphed in the 75 kg class, with Leishangthem Roshikumar Singh finishing as runner-up.
The heavier weight classes also delivered thrilling performances. Mayanglambam Olenjit Singh of DG Gym & Fitness Centre, Kakching, won the 80 kg division, outperforming Maibam Ronald Singh of Muscle Factory, Kakching, and Laishram Bamkim Chandra Singh of Extreme Fitness, Mantripukhri. In the 85 kg category, Wangkheirakpam Priyobarta Singh of Liangtuang Gym, Thangmeiband, took gold, followed by Hemam Sadananda of Sajen Sang, Moirang, and Chalamba Wangkheimayum of Super Gym, Khagempalli. Kshetrimayum Niraj Singh of Evolution Fitness, Thoubal, emerged victorious in the 90 kg division, with Sanasam Sanathoi Singh of Super Gym, Khurai, securing second place. The highly anticipated over 90 kg category, which also determined the overall champion, saw Laitonjam Reshikanta Singh take top honors, followed by Maradona Kshetrimayum of Muscle Factory, Kakching, and Haobijam Deepak Singh of Super Gym, Khurai.
In the women’s model physique open category, Laishangbam Sonia of Muscle Factory, Kakching, claimed first prize, with I. Cherishma Devi of United Gym, Naoremthong, as runner-up, and Chingri Khapai Shimrah of Royaal Gymnasium, Ukhrul, finishing third. The championship not only celebrated physical excellence but also inspired fitness enthusiasts across Manipur, highlighting dedication, discipline, and the growing prominence of bodybuilding in the region.
