UPSC CSE 2026 Qualification
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from any recognised university or possess an equivalent qualification. Candidates appearing in the final year are also eligible to apply provisionally.
UPSC CSE 2026 Age Limit
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years as of 1st August, 2026 (born not earlier than 2nd August, 1994 and not later than 1st August, 2005).
Age Relaxation is applicable as follows:
- SC/ST: Up to 5 years
- OBC: Up to 3 years
- Defence Services Personnel: Up to 5 years
- PwBD: Up to 10 years (General), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)
- ECOs/SSCOs: Up to 5 years
UPSC CSE 2026 Mode of Selection
The selection process consists of three successive stages:
- Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination: Objective Type (MCQ) for screening.
- Civil Services (Mains) Examination: Written (Descriptive) Type.
- Interview/Personality Test.
UPSC CSE 2026 Examination Fee
– A fee of ₹100/- is required for all candidates.
– Female, SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempted.
